The 552 Sound Devices is a mixer with a 2-track recorder 16/24 bits generating sound files to SD and SDHC media. A combination of inputs and outputs can be assigned to recording. The 552 has 5 high-quality mic preamps, each with its own treatments : gain, limiter, slippery high-pass filter, and "Direct Out" output in "pre" or "post" fader. The 552, like all Sound Devices recorders, is designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions.
